PTH (charrette)

Pedestrian Trans-Hudson

[first charrette]

PTH is a public design challenge for the NY Metro Area to explore the idea of a pedestrian bridge across the Hudson River, from NJ to Manhattan.

PTH will consist of a series of three public charrettes [rapid and informal design sessions] and conclude with an exhibit of these and other submitted works.

Freedom of movement is a critical civic right, and SnRM believes strongly in the importance of free pedestrian access across all interrelated & adjacent urban areas.

The tin room, welcomes any creative or curious people to participate in PTH by; joining our charrettes, submitting independent designs and by viewing the finished exhibition.

At each charrette we will provide pens, paper, maps, case studies, measuring tools etc. All you would need to bring is your creativity. Experienced designers are welcome to bring their laptops and work digitally as well. There are no formal requirements for submitted work.
